Keystone Oilseed, Inc. is based in Mifflinburg, PA in the middle of the rich farmland of the Susquehanna Valley. We are a third generation farm family owning the land for 66 years to date.
Healthy soils produce healthy crops as we focus on farm land sustainability with No-till practices and the use of cover crops. All of our oil seed crops are grown, harvested, stored, pressed, filtered, bottled and delivered directly to our customers with extreme care. Our filtering process allows us to have up to a two year self life as well.
Our sunflower and soybean oils can be purchased individually as well as in a blend of the two oils. There are many uses such as deep frying, baking, seasoning, grilling, sautéing, carrier oils for essential oils, cosmetics and for soaps to name a few. They are a very healthy alternative to other processed oils as ours are cold pressed virgin oils with no added heat and with no additives (CHEMICAL FREE). Additionally, they can be used in home and/or commercially and have no Trans Fats.
MEET THE BROTHERS
Brothers Donald and Daryl Beiler were born in Lancaster County, PA and raised on a small family dairy farm in Union County, PA where they learned the value of hard work and working with family.
Donald’s aspirations took him to LeTourneau University in Longview, TX in pursuit of a career as an airline pilot. Daryl stayed on the farm to pursue his interests in grain production. He did the farming for his father, Elam Beiler, supplying all the feed and forages for the dairy. Upon his father’s retirement in 1995, Daryl expanded the grain production acreage primarily in corn and soybeans.
In 2003, Daryl and his wife Gina purchased the home farm, becoming third-generation owners. As the grain market conditions changed and their children were leaving the farm, a new idea was launched to pursue value-added income to the farm allowing for downsizing of crop acres.
In 2013 began the transition to raising more oilseed crops, processing the seed on the farm, selling the meal by-product as feed and packaging and labeling the oil for consumer-grade food use.
In April of 2017, a new company, Keystone Oilseed, Inc. was formed by Donald. Donald currently resides in Flower Mound, TX with his wife Cybill and two children and he manages the corporate and financial aspects of the business. Daryl manages the production of the crops, pressing of the seed and sales. Not the typical family farm as the brothers pursue a value-added business model that includes as many family members as possible. Daryl and Gina’s son Ross, his wife Gaby and her brother Pablo of Quito, Ecuador oversee the marketing via graphics and label design and the development and maintenance of the website and all social media outlets for the business.
It is the brothers desire to provide a long-term source of income for their families and most importantly to provide healthy, nutritional food products to consumers.
Thank you all in advance for your support!
